Doubutsu No Mori Translation Patch
Sep 29, 2013 Hello, Gbatemp. I am very interested in the Animal Forest e+ that was never released outside of Japan. For those who are unaware, the original game, Dobutsu no Mori (Animal Forest) was released on N64, and ported to the Gamecube later on for release worldwide. Aug 13, 2010 [Animal Forest emulated on Project64(PJ64)] I found an english ROM for Doubutsu no Mori. Not fully translated, as shown here. Old file, perhaps?

Game Description & Reviews:
Well, i know nothing about the japanese language. But, if your a psp user with daedalusx64 (N64 emulator) like me, you can download this rom, go here:http://forums.daedalusx64.com/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=1831 and then get the english translator/patch and figure out the rest.
I'm guessing the game is like the one on Gamecube, which i have played and i loved it so i'm giving it a 5/5. The characters are awesome and i like the storyline.
There is probably an english patched rom of this for the N64 emulator on the PC but i haven't looked.
Anyway, thanks for reading :D

Talk about Doubutsu no Mori (Japan):
Please enable JavaScript to view the comments powered by Disqus. The fabled 'Doubutsu no Mori e+', and why we need a fan translation/other mods for it.
For those unaware, Doubutsu no Mori e+ was an updated version of Animal Crossing on the Gamecube that incorporated a ton of new features, including new events, more fish and animals, and a ton of new villagers, some of which had never made it out of this game. However, getting these villagers required usage of an e-reader, which even now is nigh impossible to properly emulate.
This begs the question: How will us outside of Japan EVER be able to get these villagers? The simple answer is getting ahold of a copy of the game, along with the cards you want and a japanese e-reader, but that's expensive and counter productive.
Outside of the lost villagers, there's a few others missing features, such as nighttime Tom Nook, an expanded yet interesting Private Island feature, an expanded Diary, and other expanded features that have been lost to time.
Which is why I propose the following: modding this particular version of AC for English users. An English translation that is near identical to the version we got here across the sea would be wonderful for all fans of AC. Another mod would be able to get the lost villagers/islanders without the need for an e-reader, having them set up as villagers who can move in naturally. Animal Crossing GC already has codes to alter villagers, so hypothetically it wouldn't be that hard.
